Peace by Piece--Edith Cavell

Edith Cavell was a British nurse during World War I, executed for helping hundreds of Allied soldiers escape occupied Belgium. Her heroic deeds also included treating the wounded on both sides of the war without discrimination. "I can't stop while there are lives to be saved," she is quoted as saying. What a powerful example of humanity--one I hope to learn from now, over a century later.

Life can be overwhelming.

It's okay.

Do what you need to. Do what you can. And don't forget to take care of yourself.

It's National Library Week here in the United States. Our libraries may be closed right now, but I couldn't pass up this chance to show some love to these wonderful institutions!
